What is the best age for a baby to start baby massage classes?
It is never too early to start massaging your baby. We actually recommend massaging your baby from birth so that they can experience the emotional and physical benefits of baby massage from early on. At the same time, it is never too late to start massaging your baby or toddler. Some of the baby massage techniques are slightly different for crawlers / toddlers so our instructor will adapt the techniques taught in each course depending on the ages of the babies.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a towel to place underneath your baby and some massage oil. We recommend a natural, unscented oil such as grapeseed, coconut or olive oil. We stock pure coconut oil which you can purchase separately on the day of your class.
What if my baby needs something during the class?
At Tickle Toe we believe that baby's needs always come first. Our classes are very relaxed and informal in nature so we encourage you to start or stop massaging your baby depending on his or her needs on the day. You can stop massaging your baby any time while you change their nappy, feed them , etc... All our classes run in a female-only private setting so you will also be able to breastfeed your baby should you wish to do so.
Where can I buy massage oil?
You can purchase a natural, edible type of oil such as olive oil from any supermarket. Coconut and grapeseed oil are a little bit harder to find and will be available in specialist shops. We stock pure coconut oil, which is available to purchase separately.
I can't find a class near my area.
We are adding new classes all the time. In order to start a class in a new area we need to know that there are interested people from that area, so we suggest you register your interest today and we will contact you as soon as a class becomes available near you.
What if I miss a class?
Don't worry if you miss a class. Each class will start by reviewing the main techniques covered in the previous class. Your instructor will also be happy to give you any additional guidance you need.
Can I organise a new class with my friends?
Depending on the location, we can offer private class to a group of friends in one of their homes. If you and your friends are interested in a private class, please contact us directly to arrange it.
